Perspex Backboards for basketball

Perspex Backboards for basketball, is it a good idea?

Yes and no!

YES, BECAUSE: PERSPEX is made out of manufactured methyl methacrylate monomer (MMA) and its tradename is PMMA polymethyl methacrylate Lucite International, also associated with Polycarbonate backboards which is lightly more durable.

This plastic by-product is cheaper lighter and much better to install and can be used just as hard and safe as most other types of backboards and is especially used in local ballparks and local basketball courts on your beachside courts for you two on two or one on one games.

NO, BECAUSE: Unlike your glass boards it is not as durable (though glass, when it breaks, is much more dangerous) as well as glass is much easier to clean and does not have the fading and yellowing effect over time.

So this is just a few things to consider when purchasing your next basketball backboard for your local or indoor court.
