Working As A Corporate Fitness Trainer
A career as a corporate fitness trainer can be challenging, varied and well paid and it certainly isn’t your typical 9 to 5 job. You will need a high school diploma and a Bachelor’s degree in some area of fitness or health is usually preferred, such as fitness, physical exercise or nutrition. Starting out as an intern at a large company is often a good way to get a start in this field, and making as many contacts in different companies is also helpful. There are various professional organizations where membership can get you help with finding a job, further training and creating a strong resume. To become a trainer, you will need to be patient, approachable and enjoy working with people from different backgrounds. Skill and experience in public speaking is also useful, as is the ability to adjust your lesson plan as needed.
