Automated parking garage systems are the future of car parks, especially in high-density locations. The industry has seen innovative jumps from mechanical to wireless and smart technologies in automatic parking. There are two types- semi-automated and fully automated parking systems. Fully Automated Parking Explained
It offers robotic valet parking whereby a vehicle is driven to a transfer area so that the passengers can step out. The driver receives a ticket before the car is whisked off to a parking space through a series of lifts, robotic arms, and a turntable. The parking space may be 10 stories above the ground or two levels underneath the ground. It is a well-lit and comfortable transfer area. To retrieve the car, the driver needs to produce the ticket. The vehicle is usually placed facing the exit to ensure efficient departure.
