Medical First Response Training

The medical first response comes from responders who are individuals who provide initial assistance to people who are sick or injured without access to emergency medical services. Usually, this involves providing first aid for both minor and serious injuries or illnesses.

Traditionally, first responders refer to firefighting and police departments; however, their role can also encompass ambulance crews, paramedics, and public health staff.

Paramedics are the highest level of emergency medical providers, though these tend to be pricier to hire than emergency medical technicians (EMTs).

Medical first responders do not possess the same level of training as EMTs, yet they still possess important skills that can save lives during an emergency situation. This course provides essential instruction to medical first responders so they can work as integral members of the medical team during an incident and safely transport patients until more advanced medical personnel arrive on the scene.
