Elements Of Mobile App Design
Mobile app design refers to the fonts, colors, buttons, fields, graphic elements and other features that determine how an app looks as opposed to the underlying functions that make it work. It encompasses both the user interface and user experience elements of the app; these will vary depending on whether you are designing for iOS or Android devices and you should check their user interface guidelines on any restrictions of requirements they have.
The goal of the design in an app is to make it as easy and intuitive to use as possible. Part of this is maintaining consistency with the platform it is designed on but it should also focus on the following:
• Use goal-driven design; make clear what the user will achieve.
• Keep it simple, less is more in most cases.
• Create a flow for the user
• Readability is vital
• Offer help wherever users might need it
