ABCs Of Emergency Evacuation Sirens
Working together, carefully and evenly lift the casualty high enough to enable a fifth person to push the stretcher underneath. Working together again, carefully and evenly lower the casualty onto the stretcher. If a fifth person is not available or if it is not possible to push the stretcher under the casualty, place the stretcher in line with the casualty as close to the head as possible. Carefully lift the casualty and move with short even side paces until the casualty is directly over the stretcher then lower the casualty onto it.
The poles are passed through sleeves down the side of the canvas to form the stretcher. Spacer bars may be placed – over the ends of the poles to keep them apart and the stretcher firm. Emergency Evacuation Sirens play a major role in different types of emergencies.
