Replacing tile

The original plan had been to re-tile the dining area by laying new tile over the old. For a variety of reasons (mostly having to do with budget) that proves to be impossible. So, we when with Option B and decided to replace the more “worn and damaged” of the tiles. Roxbury flooring guru and friend of the Hut Sean O’Shaughnessy is doing a fabulous job on the project.

We have a cookhouse

doneshed

Just in time for the first real snow of the winter, Mike George and the crew from Leprechaun Construction finished the cookhouse. We couldn’t be happier with the job they did. Looking forward to getting to work cooking in it.

Ladies & Gentlemen…The Doors…

…and the roof. Work continues on the cookhouse with the doors going in. Nice big slidy metal doors. Mike says everything should be done by this weekend if the weather co-operates.

Oh yes – and we also have a roof on the cookhouse as well (check out the third photo above).

And the walls go up

The cookhouse is progressing nicely. The walls are going in and it looks like everything will be complete early next week. Loving the look of the metal and hope the landlords will not force us to paint it red.

We’ve been framed!

Or at least the cook house has been.

Loving the job Leprechaun Construction has been doing. Mike George has been amazingly helpful.

The walls, roof and doors go up next week.

Cookhouse construction begins…

Work finally got under way this morning on the cookhouse. Here’s a few shots of the posts being put into place.
