One thing you’re going to find consistent about my articles on BBQ joints is the lack of food porn photos. I will take pics of the outside of a joint, possibly some of the interior decoration & certainly the smokers if I can get to them, but I will not be snapping pics of the food.

Why?

BBQ is my religion.
BBQ joints are my churches.
One does not take pictures during a sermon in church.
I do not take pictures while eating BBQ.

Since opening the Cha Cha Hut in January of 2010, we’ve often wanted a place to write about things we encounter while doing research for our Q joint. We wanted to keep the Cha Cha Hut site focused solely on the day to day business of the shop.

After a recent trip around upstate New York & NYC to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary, we made the decision to launch Cha Cha Hut BBQ Food Tour. We’re really not sure how often we’ll be updating, but we try to keep things somewhat active. Not so much a “food blog” in the “too-many-food-porn-pic-with-overly-wordy-nytimes-wannabe-writing” way but more a notebook of joint, items & ideas that we dig.
