BIGGEST. WEEKEND. EVAH.

WOW – still slightly recovering from our biggest weekend evah! Much thanks to all the local & visiting BBQ lovers for keeping us very very busy.
Dr. Tim’s Friday Grand Gorge, Lynne from Two Stones Realty bringing clients in for lunch, the Brisket Cheesesteak special, a steady stream of lunch folks, the double Grand Gor…ge going to a b’day party (yep – one person order TWO Gorges), Mr. Mathis getting a deal on his 5″ sub by bringing can goods for the Roxbury Food Bank (you can get that deal too!), the folks staying at the Roxbury Motel, Mark & Shiela (Mark’s pics are below), Alexander (sorry we couldn’t visit), the Harley riders who promise to bring many many hogs to the Hut (& they were not talkin’ about pork), more great lunch folks on Sunday, Tim solo (hope Maggie feels better), one bunny sketch from the RAG Sunday movie, Tom & crew with 2nd visit in a week & closing out the weekend with the Oggs from Woodstock who came for 2 racks o’ ribs based only on word of mouth.
Looking forward to the coming week and Easter weekend. Yes – we will be open on Easter.
Behold! The Brisket Cheesesteak!

Our Texas style brisket with spicy cheese sauce on a sub roll.
The special is over – but will return again soon…
Locals
We received an email this morning with the following line in it:
“Why don’t you tell everyone how you don’t like the locals and you don’t need them.”
Nothing could be further from the truth. Hey, we like the skiers that have been through. The hotel guest have been nothing but gracious. But when it comes down to it, our best and most rewarding experiences have been with the locals. We know we need the locals and are glad for every one that comes through our doors.
We strive to give every one a great meal at a great price in a clean and friendly environment regardless of where they come from. We don’t feel the need to talk about local vs non-local.
We believe in the local economy so much that we funded this entire restaurant with our own money and a small loan from a friend. We did not take funding from any other business or organization. We chose to open this business in Roxbury because this is where we live, we love it here and intend to live here the rest of our lives.
So you can believe the lies and rumors or stop by, have some great BBQ and find out the truth.
